Marsia the satyr by Lui-Gon-Jinn Marsia the satyr by Lui-Gon-Jinn
That's Marsia. In the legend he challenged Apollo in a musical contest. He wanted to show to the god that his flute was the best music instrument. Apollo, playng his lira, beated Marsia and he punished him stripping his skin off.

Marsia is a satyr (half man and half goat) and he is the symbol of the human instinct. The fact he is able to play his Tibia (a kind of flute made with a bone) means that he's a wild creature which is not able to use his language while he is playing. Apollo instead is a god and he is master in playing the lira that is the simbol of the perfect armony between the instinct part of the music and the cleverness of the man. That's because you can use your language while you're playing llira...

But you know t-t-t-t-that's all folks... :)

I used digital coloration in maybe 15 h of work..

I hope you like it...

Pretty good work, never heard of a ''satyr'' though.
